The Feathered Thorns are Polly Wright and Jason Wick who are long term collaborators on a wide range of commissioned work for Theatre, Poetry, Film and Installation. Lyrical spoken word and vulnerable melodic vocals duet over broken chord parlour piano and valve driven guitar amplifiers on the verge of break up and analogue effects, which together, produce an authentic raw tonal palette over a haunting collage of lo- fi soundscapes. Melancholy, tenderness and menace meet the real or imagined, the heartache of the familiar and the brooding thrill of the unknown.
They have released one eponymous EP and one live album, the latter being a recording of their Norwich Arts Centre commissioned show WITCH. They are currently recording their debut Studio Album, due for release in early Autumn.
