Award winning all male dance company LEGACY DANCE COMPANY UK are on the look out for new members and are holding their annual Norfolk auditions on Saturday 7th September!!
This will be LEGACY’s tenth year as a company, and the last decade has seen them go from strength to strength.
Seeing the positive effect the original Company had on its members, founder Cat Chapman wanted to give younger boys the opportunity to experience LEGACY life where they didn’t feel isolated or bullied for exploring and enjoying the arts. This has led to there now being 4 junior classes starting from the teeny age of 4, as well as the original performance company.
Between Mini Legacy, Little Legacy, Legacy 11+ and the Main Performance Company, over 85 boys and young men walk through the doors every Saturday to train and be part of the ‘BROTHERHOOD’ as it’s widely known.
The company has produced 3 sell out shows as well as performing with high profile touring companies, local events and showcases around the UK.
‘Main Company’ is for boys and young men aged 10-21 who have a love of performing and a natural flair for movement. Dance experience isn’t necessary but willingness to work hard, dedication and brilliant team-work skills are a MUST. The company is predominantly funded and open to all young men between 10-21 who can commit to weekly intensive training sessions.
All successful applicants sign up for a full year commitment.
The boys have incredible performance opportunities throughout the year, as well as guest teachers, intensive training from the Legacy team, trips and social events, and are given the chance to discover all manner of creative pathways open to them.
