Featuring everyone’s favourite carols, join a host of choristers on Hay Hill under the Canopy of Light for carol singing! This is the inaugural Lantern Procession where families are encouraged to participate ahead of the annual Crib Service at St Peter Mancroft church.
Collect a free lantern (to keep afterwards) for the procession which will make its way around Hay Hill whilst the Canopy of Light sequences will reflect the mood and light of the occasion. It will be quite the Christmassy scene!
Leading into the church the Christmas Story will be narrated whilst shepherds, wise men, angels, Mary and Joseph move around the church where they will eventually form a traditional Manger Scene for everyone to visit at the end.
Refreshments will be served as you leave, whilst the snow falls.
Children are encouraged to come dressed as any of the Christmas Story characters.
The procession will take place on Hay Hill at 3pm and is FREE to attend. Please gather at 2.50pm.
