Julian of Norwich (1343-1416) is Britain’s best known female mystic. 2023 is the 650th anniversary of her ‘shewings’ or visions, which revealed to her aspects of God’s love. These visions are at the heart of her book – Revelations of Divine Love, the first book written by a woman in English.

The tour includes the story of Jenny Lind’s concerts in Norwich in 1847 and 1849 and the foundation of the Jenny Lind Hospital; visits to the old Bishop’s Palace where Jenny Lind stayed (courtesy of Norwich School) and Norwich Cathedral to view the memorial window to Bishop Stanley, who was Jenny Lind’s host.
