‘Norwich: City of Industries’ focuses on Norwich’s often forgotten two-hundred-year-old industrial heritage. The exhibition ‘Norwich Works’ at Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery has renewed interest in the city’s industrial traditions, some of which are within living memory. Others, including the weaving of horsehair cloth and cigar making have been consigned to the history books.
