One of the city’s most famous landmarks, Norwich Castle was built by the Normans as a Royal Palace 900 years ago.

Dragon Hall is one of Norwich’s oldest buildings and is home to the National Centre for Writing. The 15th century merchant’s hall was built by Robert Toppes around 1427 – but based on buildings and settlements dating back more than 1,000 years.
Come and explore Julian of Norwich, medieval English writer and mystic, who lived here at St Julian’s Church in the heart of Norwich 650 years ago.
