UFO RODEO is the dusty, spaghetti-western-goes-psych 16-legged supergroup of Catch 21 Records’ Gavin Bowers, featuring members of Waxx!, Vieira & The Silvers, The Molee Shakes, The Rabbitts and many more. A big band, with a big sound. This will be the launch for the band’s new Live EP and film, which was recorded & filmed at Bakerland Studios in Leeds.

Although born in Alabama, Dale Watson is as Texas as the Panhandle or a smokey plate of BBQ. He came to country music early and naturally. His truck driving father moonlighted as a country singer, and his older brothers had bands as well. Dale remembers receiving his first guitar at age 7 and starting to write songs shortly after-“the same stuff I’m writing about now,” he says with a laugh.

Born at Nettlebed Folk Club in Oxfordshire on Valentine s Day 1994 as a one off special concert, this folk rock big band now brings its 30th Anniversary Spring Tour to Cromer. Their achievements over the years include completing twenty eight spring tours twenty six festival appearances including Cromer, and seven albums, which is not bad for a band that was only doing one concert! Folk on the Pier producer, Scott Butler is delighted to bring them back to Cromer Pier on 25th April as a warm concert up before the main festival in May, itself in its twenty sixth year.

With dry wit and unflinching honesty, singer/songwriter John Grant transforms his perspective as a gay man and his struggles with addiction and relationships into music that spans tender ballads and scathing rants. While his literate songwriting and resonant vocals remain constants of his music, his sound evolved over time. His 2010 debut, Queen of Denmark — which featured contributions from his close friends in the band — built on the lush sound of his former band, the alt country-meets-dream pop act .
