NNOS Presents Les Misérables: Let The People Sing

For the first time, by special permission from Cameron Mackintosh and Music Theatre International, NNOS (Norfolk and Norwich Operatic Society) in collaboration with Threshold Theatre Company, Sound Ideas Theatre Company and Echo Youth Theatre will bring you one of the UK amateur premieres of Boublil & Schönberg’s epic musical triumph.
Let The People Sing is a UK-wide project offering just 11 unique opportunities for amateur companies to stage their own versions of this iconic show to celebrate its 40th Anniversary.

Seen by over 130 million people in 53 countries and 22 different languages, we are delighted to be bringing this definitive amateur version to Norwich. The full-scale production will feature a large cast supported by a 16-strong, professional orchestra.

Les Misérables features one of theatre’s greatest scores and is filled with evocative and emotional songs which have stood the test of time, including I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, One Day More, Bring Him Home, and more.

Based on the acclaimed novel by Victor Hugo and set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, Les Misérables is a dramatic masterpiece of love, war, compassion and conflict. A true testament to the survival of the human spirit, the story of Jean Valjean and his quest for redemption has secured Les Misérables’ place as the world’s favourite musical.
