Norwich School of Painters

Cathedral Quarter

It is increasingly challenging to curate an exhibition of such high-quality works, and we are thrilled to feature

‘Lane Scene’ by John Crome. The Hamilton Kerr Institute has restored this captivating piece, and we are pleased to share the fascinating report accompanying the restoration with our exhibition visitors.

In addition to this remarkable work, the exhibition will showcase newly acquired pieces by Henry Bright, Henry Ninham, George Vincent, John Joseph Cotman, Elouise Stannard, Emily Stannard, John Berney Crome, and William Henry Crome.

The Norwich School of Painters is a significant part of British art history, being the first provincial art movement. We are delighted to bring this exhibition to you.
