Norwich
Norwich has always been an important retail centre and many of the city centre shop buildings can reveal a good deal about the city’s social history and its historic trades and industries. The tour explores how Norwich developed as a shopping centre and looks at the significant changes of use of some shop buildings over the years. Perhaps they could offer some hope for the future of stores hit by the pandemic and the rise of online shopping.
