Bowhill & Elliott are a small family-owned business who manufacture slippers and velvet loafers in the heart of Norwich.
Established in 1874, Bowhill & Elliott have been making shoes by hand on the same site at 65 London Street for 150 years, specialising in elegant house shoes and slippers since 1960. It’s here that they still honour traditional manufacturing processes, make out the back and sell out the front. Each pair of shoes are clicked, closed and hand-lasted in their Norwich workshop. They very much believe in the slow fashion ethos, specialising in made-to-order, they strive to keep the tradition of shoe-making in Norfolk alive. Although small in stature, they have global reach, selling their iconic brand all over the world, either with wholesale partners or directly through their website.
The building is split into two workshops, offices and a two-floor retail emporium housing a vast collection of premium footwear for both men and women. Home to eight shoemakers, office staff and a friendly knowledgeable retail team. Bowhill & Elliott is a must-see for any shoe enthusiast. Discover the #madeyourway bespoke design collection in-store, where customers can design their own velvet slipper.
