For over 45 years, Country & Eastern have sourced goods directly from small businesses
and craftspeople in South Asia and their policy is to offer a wide selection at fair and
affordable prices. Country & Eastern offer a vast range of hand knotted rugs and flat
weave kelims, block printed bedding, table linen, luxurious crewel curtains and other soft
furnishings. They also stock clothing and jewellery as well as an abundance of beautiful

Country & Eastern supports the livelihoods of the craftspeople in the countries they work in
as well as the work of The South Asian Decorative Arts and Crafts Collection Trust
(SADACC), a UK registered charity that manages and cares for The South Asia Collection.
The mission of The SADACC Trust is to record, conserve and promote the art, crafts and
cultures of South Asia and adjacent countries such as Afghanistan, Myanmar (Burma),
Thailand, Indonesia and Central Asia. SADACC cares for a collection of around 8,500
objects and artworks from South Asia. The South Asia Collection also hosts a research
library and shares the collection through exhibition displays, research projects, talks and
events.
The South Asia Collection and Country & Eastern can be found in a former Victorian roller-skating rink, an architectural gem in the heart of Norwich.
