This week's schedule:
London Street - 16:40, 17:40, 18:50
Dan the Hat
A frenzy of comedy, skills and audience participation (whether they like it or not!). From the outset, Dan wows any audience with supreme Yo-yo skills, awesome hat manipulation, juggling with finesse, Ball spinning, slick Diabolo, the Tennis can and the one and only 'Cups and Spoonsʼ. He shouts, he laughs... sometimes he even cries. Lots of fun bound together in a daring attempt to rid the world of the mundane!
Westlegate - 17:00, 18:10, 19:20
Georgia Shackleton Trio
The Georgia Shackleton Trio are an exciting new act securing upcoming gigs in The UK and Europe, and in 2016 performed main stage slots at Rotterdam Bluegrass Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival, Towersey Folk Festival, and Folk East, as well as performing throughout Broadstairs Folk Week amongst others. Playing a blend of Americana, folk and self-penned material, Georgia Shackleton is an alumna of Newcastle University’s Folk Degree course. Accompanying herself on the fiddle, she writes and performs 'wordy songs about other people’, instrumentally influenced by British, American and Scandinavian folk traditions, with a regional twist from her native East Anglia. Georgia’s skills as a singer and instrumentalist have been put to the test in numerous different contexts, but her own trio sees her teaming up with guitar powerhouse Aaren Bennett and mandolin ace Nic Zuppardi to create a strong, transatlantic sound.
Hay Hill - 17:00, 18:00, 19:00
Francesca and Cliff from Song Noir bring a Jazz sensibility to Latin, Soul, RnB and Reggae. Featuring Francesca’s vocals and percussion and Cliff on Saxophones, Flute and Keyboard - Song Noir evoke atmospheres from smoky late night clubs to relaxed summer grooves. When they are not touring Europe, Song Noir perform regularly at Platform Twelve in St Benedict’s - and at other selected venues around the region.
Gentleman’s Walk - 17:00, 18:10, 19:20
Sam Coe & the Long Shaddows
Sam Coe & The Long Shadows hail from the Suffolk/Norfolk border… deep in rural East Anglia, they formed in 2015 when Sam was yearning to return to the Country Music routes she was brought up on. The band create honest, country music songs combined with just the right amount of pop. Catchy riffs, clever songwriting and hints towards the more traditional country genre create a Pop/Country sound likened to Kacey Musgraves, Margo Price or The Dixie Chicks. Sam Coe & The Long Shadows released their debut EP “Santa Fe” in March 2017 to critical acclaim, and found themselves playing twice at this years C2C: Country to Country festival at The O2.
St Gregory’s Green - 17:10, 18:20, 19:30
