Craft Fairs

If it's top quality handmade goods you're after, you'll find them at the Norfolk Craft Fair, presented by Knapton Crafts at The Forum. A huge range of stalls will be selling top quality goods, all locally produced. Encompassing arts and crafts, gifts and food, dozens of seasonal stalls as well as the stalls in the UK's largest permanent outdoor market, it will prove a magnet for visitors and locals alike.

Norwich Cathedral will be hosting its second Historic Christmas Fayre, where you can be entertained by minstrels and entertainers as you browse the wonderful collection of stalls selling historical items and replica artefacts from the last 2000 years. Or you can visit a spectacular medieval market with its wonderful and eclectic variety of traders at Dragon Hall.

Shopping

Norwich is one of the UK's top shopping destinations. You'll find a buzzing atmosphere in the city's major retail centres, Chapelfield and The Mall, as well as in the major shops including John Lewis, House of Fraser and independent stores such as Jarrolds. Norwich has a thriving independent sector - Norwich Lanes, Timberhill and the cobbled medieval Elm Hill each offer their own special shopping experience right in the heart of Norwich close to all the major shops and outlets.

Entertainment for all the family

A centrepiece of NORWICHRISTMAS, The Forum will form the backdrop to a large open-air ice rink. And wherever you go, you'll find a city celebrating the festive season, with real reindeers on one hand, carol singing on the other and from live music around one corner to magic and mayhem around another.

A packed and varied programme of events will also include conerts, twilight tower tours, a candlelit procession and a themed heritage trail taking in some of Norwich's landmark buildings.

If after all those events you feel the need for some nourishment, why not have a drink at one of the many ancient watering holes or modern wine bars in the city or grab a bite to eat from a huge array of places to eat.

Ice Rink at The Forum

Twizzling, twirling, slipping and sliding under the sky on the beautiful outdoor real-ice skating rink is a fun, frosty, seasonal activity for all the family. The rink is open daily with special sessions for Parents and Toddlers.

Heritage for a traditional Christmas

Norwich is home to the UK's finest collection of iconic heritage buildings spanning the past 1,000 years. Most are open to the public, some house buoutique shops and all add to the special atmosphere that is Norwich.

Many of the city's landmark tourist attractions will be taking part in NORWICHRISTMAS. They include Dragon Hall and Norwich Cathedral, both with their own themed craft markets. The boutique shops and outlets in Norwich Lanes will also appeal to visitors looking for those special gifts that cannot be found anywhere else.

During NORWICHRISTMAS there will be a special themed heritage trail helping you see some of the best historic and important buildings that Norwich has to offer.
