Days Out In Norwich
VisitNorwich is the destination management organisation for the Norwich area and it is the tourism destination marketing arm of Norwich Business Improvement District (NBID). We market the area locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. VisitNorwich’s activities are funded by private and public sector contributions including NBID levy income, individual memberships and grant funding from Norwich City Council and South Norfolk Council. Our private members range from accommodation providers, restaurants and retailers to transport providers, language schools and the financial services.
What we do
Our aim is to encourage visitors to discover Norwich and the surrounding area. We think this beautiful city, its nearby countryside and the Broads offer a fantastic range of things to enjoy for visitors of all kinds, whether they are international tourists, holiday makers, those on short breaks and days out or those who live and work in the area.
VisitNorwich provides people with information through printed material and visitnorwich.co.uk. We have a range of brochures, maps and leaflets to help visitors get the most out of their trips, holidays and days out. These can be picked up at Tourist Information Centres, downloaded from this site or sent by post.
The VisitNorwich mission is to make Norwich one of the UK’s leading city area destinations with a thriving visitor economy that brings great benefits to all who visit, live, work or invest in Norwich. Norwich is already one of Britain’s top places to shop.
We have an enthusiastic professional team of people working here with excellent local knowledge. This knowledge enables us to provide and deliver over and above the expectations of visitors to the area as well as residents and our members.
