Local train lines
The
Wherry Linefrom Norwich to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, is named after the sailing vessels which once plied their trade along the broads and rivers of the region.
The
Bittern Line from Norwich to Wroxham and Cromer/Sheringham, is named after one of East Anglia’s most famous resident birds. The line passes through the beautiful scenery of the Norfolk Broads and to the North Norfolk Coast.
National Express Railway also travel to Diss and the south, Wymondham, Thetford, Cambridge, Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.
By Bus
A good local network covers Norwich and Norfolk. Check with Traveline for up to date timetables. A variety of tickets can be bought on the bus or use the new Bus Station in Surrey Street. In Norwich many local buses stop in Castle Meadow.
