Battle of the Bangers

There was great excitement in the air on Saturday 11th October as the Battle of the Bangers got underway outside the Forum.

Thousands of people turned up to taste and judge the special festival bangers, made by some of the best butchers in the region. It was a a fiercely fought contest between the five local sausage-makers who were all battling it out to be crowned the competition winner. The winner of this tightly fought competition was Frank Spurgeon Ltd, whose festival banger was voted the best by members of the public.
