Where’s the Cathedral?
We have two cathedrals! Which one would you like to visit first? The Anglican (900 years old) or the Roman Catholic (finished 1910). By the way, Norwich also has over 30 medieval churches, too.

Where are The Broads?
The Broads are situated to the east and northeast of Norwich, there are over two hundred kilometres (125 miles) of waterways to explore. Read more about the Norfolk Broads

What are The Broads?
Inland waterways, in medieval times peat was dug out of the ground for fuel, the diggings later flooded as the sea level rose to form the Broads. The Broads now have the status of a national park.
What’s the best way to see The Norfolk Broads?
The best way to see The Broads is perhaps by taking a boat excursion or hiring your own boat. The boats for hirer are generally cruisers and not narrowboats. The lock-free waterways are made up of tidal rivers, which link the various Broads. However, the broadland landscape is a wonderful place to explore on land too!
What can I buy that’s unique to Norwich?
A bar of Caley’s chocolate - Caleys have made chocolate since 1883. Soldiers carried Caleys Marching chocolate in their kit bags in the First World War. Or why not buy a jar of Colman's mustard from the Mustard Shop? Colmans have manufactured mustard in Norwich for nearly 200 years.

Norfolk Records Office. Useful research materials can also be accessed at the
Family History Society housed in Kirby Hall in Norwich. Microfiche copies can be viewed in the Norfolk Heritage Centre in the Millennium Library in The Forum.
Does Norwich have a Swimming Pool?
Yes – Norwich City Council have recently opened a new pool in the Riverside complex. The University of East Anglia also has facilities open to the public.
Where are the cobbled streets?
Elm Hill is located close to Norwich’s Anglican Cathedral. This picturesque street is full of antique shops, art galleries and cafes.
Where are the Shops?
The major high street retailers are located in the St. Stephen’s Street and Gentleman’s Walk areas of Norwich. In addition, there are shopping centres and malls to visit. We also have a host of smaller independent shops in the Norwich Lanes plus a vibrant Market. Read more about

The Norwich Tourist Information Centre have left luggage lockers, which can be hired for the day for a small fee (a deposit will be required).
