Oh, hey May!
“As full of spirit as the month of May, and as gorgeous as the sun in Midsummer.” William Shakespeare
We’re gearing up for the May Bank Holidays and Half-Term in Norwich; are you?
Here are some reasons why you’ll want to spend May in Norwich. Peruse our pages on what to do, where to eat, what weather-welcoming activities to get stuck into and more! Either do this in your chill out alone time, with friends or with the whole family.
Norwich is a great city for experiencing new things, make it your priority to try a new event or performance, partake in a new outdoor activity or just stop for something to eat somewhere you haven’t been before – we’re such creatures of habit!
Norwich is also a city where walking is the best way to get around - the medieval street pattern is compact with most things in close proximity to each other. And along the way the streets are not paved with gold but paved with great coffee, making regular stops hard to resist!
Anyone wanting to visit outside the city centre take Greater Anglia trains to lovely market towns such as Wymondham (which has a beautiful Abbey to visit, countryside walks as well as wonderful history). Or FIRST buses to places such as the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts and Loddon. If you fancy getting out and about on two wheels then Norwich rail station has bikes to hire, you just need your own helmet!
As Norwich is the City of Stories, we think you should create your own this May. Let us know how you get on, we’d love to know what you think!
