Cycle Routes
There are a good number of cycle routes in the Norfolk Broads, with quiet lanes and gentle undulating countryside.
The
Broads by Bike routes are available as PDFs to download or you can pick up copies at local Broads Information Centres, including Hoveton Information Centre, 01603 782281.
Route maps can be obtained from
Tourist Information Centres within the Broads or any of the local cycle hire centres.
There are several cycle hire centres in
The Broads, many sited close to moorings, where cycles for all the family can be hired by the day or half day. Many also offer hourly rates on request.
Route maps are available from each location, free of charge, which not only help you find your way around but also provide information about local attractions and places to eat.
The Bittern Line (a railway line which runs from Norwich, through
The Broads, to the North Norfolk coast), has a number of cycle routes from its stations. ‘Around The Bittern Track’ is a map and guide to these routes and is available for £1 from
Norwich station, the Bure Valley Railway and the North Norfolk Railway.

Cycle Hire Centres
Most centres have tandems and some offer electric bikes for people with limited mobility. If you’re staying in the area, some hire centres will even deliver to accommodation within a 10 mile radius of their base.
